Graphic & Multimedia Design Program
College of the Canyons

The Graphic and Multimedia Design (GMD) program at College of the Canyons provides an encouraging but challenging comprehensive learning environment‚ which contributes technically and conceptually to the development of the artist. Each program provides personalized attention and a stimulating discourse that guides students through the creative process leading to divergent thinking and professional outcomes.

College of the Canyons is an open-access community college (open to anyone who wants to learn). The college is classified as a Hispanic Serving Institution (40%+) and serves a diverse student population, representing a wide spectrum of identities. GMD students are full of rich stories to tell. At the program level, we are invested in building pipelines to the creative industry, as well as establishing transfer pathways to four-year colleges, and private design institutions in the Los Angeles area. Our program values cohort building, establishing lasting professional relationships and plugging into industry pipelines as a means of fostering a more diverse and equitable design culture at the professional level.
