Notes: Give The Fish Skin To The Wind: Stories About Los Angeles and Other Imaginary Cities was written in the Summer of 2011 by students at 826LA’s free after-school tutoring program in Echo Park. The cover illustration is inspired by the true blue Dodger spirit of Elysian Park, and the fish kite flags often seen in Chinatown—both areas that border Echo Park and are home to many of the student authors.
