Parallel-Play is a stage of social development where children play separately but adjacent to one another—they are engaged in a constant process of observation and adaptation—each modifying their own play accordingly. We are always engaged in Parallel-Play with our clients, collaborators, fellow designers and the world at large. We are always observing, adapting, and making work feel like play.
Our clients come in all shapes and sizes, but share many qualities; they are trusting, they are innovators, they are at the top of their craft and they understand the power of design and its ability to uplift their brand.
Our business model allows us to practice socially responsible design, we offer non-profit design rates and take on several pro-bono projects each year.
Parallel-Play was founded in 2009 by husband-wife design duo, Jay and Shannon Doronio.
